C R È A T E U R

Hello! My name is Allyson Biersack and I am a photographer, blogger, videographer, wardrobe stylist, and freelance model from the Washington D.C. area. Fashion has always been a passion for me and it has creeped into every aspect of my life. I am currently freelance but have worked with a company called, North of Nowhere, photographers such as Joe Budd (San Francisco based), Claudia Goetzelmann (San Francisco and New York based), Chloe Aftel (San Francisco based), Oriana Layendecker (D.C., L.A., N.Y.C. based), Julian Pierre Boney (D.C. and N.Y.C. based), and Amanda Pham (D.C. based). I have also worked for a blooming TV network known as Aspire for Julian Pierre Boney’s Monozygotic collection. These are just some of the major photographers that enticed me by their amazing skills. Through my hard work, I was published with my identical twin (back when we modeled) in Golden Age magazine, Racing Mind magazine, and a D.C wedding editorial magazine: Grace Ormonde.

I am a first semester sophomore at VCU. Currently I am on the fashion track and have been in the industry for a little under five years now. Specifically I wardrobe assist, direct, and network to produce the best team of people to ultimately make a photo shoot happen. I started my fashion career originally on the model track (Stars Model Management San Francisco based) and discovered that agencies are not really helpful in the long run so I began networking and creating my own web of talented people. Make up artists, hair stylists, nail artists, wardrobe, photographers, editors, etc. Dabbling in every aspect to not only learn but to fully engage myself enough to become professional at each aspect. One important thing I’ve taken away from all the graphic design, professional email correspondents, mood boards, and eye shadow on my finger tips is that you have to be affluent in all aspects due to lack of reliability. A vision cannot be employed without the proper team and if one link is missing you need to be educated enough to get the job done and get it done well.
